The initial high bid may have been a trap to generate buying interest. In the minutes leading up to the open bidding reached $4.81, finally opening at $4.68. Perhaps someone had a lot to unload and wanted bidding to start at a half decent price. Either that, or they should have exercised a lot more patience.There was no upwards momentum. As you note, all the enthusiasm lasted less than 71 seconds.
The drop in copper, down 10 cents over two days is the real problem. The entire metals complex is down. Nothing wrong with the revised PEA. It's just plain bad luck news came on a day when copper fell 6.5 cents.
