Looking at Investing

Hello All!

I'm considering investing in AVE and have been doing research and was wondering if anyone is able to shed some light on any or all of the following:

With the record revenues this past quarter, why did the company still record a net loss? Seems odd that in all of the years they've been operating this quarter was recorded as the largest in revenues and yet there is still a net loss

Has the company ever paid a dividend historically? I undrestand that is this environment it is prudent to have cash on hand and not have a dividend but didn't know about the more prosperous years.
