RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Big drop in short positionHaven't looked into the dates for the Scotia trade earlier but if you are right - and I suspect you are because I can't envision why anyone would want to sell right now otherwise - anyway.. to meet the divestiture rule we would then expect another cross trade of ~1.4M shares at CG on Jan 2nd. I think this would be the first eligible date for re-entry.  
On the other hand if it is portfolio window dressing within CG then presumably we may not see a follow on rebalancing adjustment in January.  
Or perhaps - as Gopats2 has suggested - it is one individual who wants to sell and word has passed through the sell side guys and they in turn have orchestrated purchases for managed funds and/or institutional buyers.
For curiosities sake, if you/or anyone has any ideas to confirm add to or refute the above please share your thoughts :-)
