RE:Many of the puzzle pieces seem to be set in place You'd think that's where the new BOD members Rajan and Maloo come in.
Vinay Maloo is Chairman of the $7B Enso group and prior NR said he was responsible for securing funds to facilitate a potash sale. Rajan was the Chairman and Managing Director of RCF! (Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers)
Looking at the journey of Vinay Maloo, a commerce graduate from St. Xavier College, Kolkata could
have pursued higher studies or settled in a comfortable corporate job like his peers only if he did not
have the drive to stand on his own feet and start a Telecom company on his own, having detected
telecommunications as an emerging sector. When he laid the foundation of Himachal Futuristic
Communication Limited (HFCL), one of India’s first private telecom companies, it was his vision
and courage that led it to become a multi product and multi customer company in a short span of
time. At the advent of new century HFCL was a company with a market capital of almost USD
4 billion; it was the apple pie of the stock exchange and was one of the most promising ventures in
India at that point of time.
Striking the right partnerships, investing on sound technology and building a like minded team of
professionals who believe in your vision are things one can learn from this visionary who is the
backbone of Enso Group which has forays into powerful sectors like Solar, Energy, Mineral Mining
and Healthcare to mention a few.
He has the clear vision that “natural resources are the backbone of most global industries ’’.
If Vinay Maloo’s earlier venture was ahead of times, Enso group would redefine the word energy
and its use for generations to come.
