Aphria Inc. APHA

Aphria, which is headquartered in Ontario, produces and sells medicinal and recreational cannabis. The company operates through retail and wholesale channels in Canada and internationally. Aphria is a main distributor of medical cannabis to Germany and has operations in over 10 countries outside of Canada. However, it does not have exposure to the U.S. CBD or THC markets due to the constraints of federal prohibition. It has some U.S. exposure through the acquisition of SweetWater, a craft brewer

RE:Why you need Shoppers for a prescription ?

RE:Why you need Shoppers for a prescription ?Currently very few Doctors are willing to prescribe medical cannabis but those who are, do not need the help of a pharmacist when it comes to prescribing.  Have you ever heard of a Doctor telling there patients to talk to the pharmacist if they have any questions?  That would be ridiculous. If you have questions, you ask your doctor.  When you drop off a prescription at shoppers you never even deal with the pharmacist, it is always an assistant who asks if you have been there before and that is it.  When I pick it up they ask me if I have any questions regarding the prescription.  My answer? Well, if I had any questions I would have asked my Doctor. For certain drugs I could understand the pharmacists role as another gatekeeper for things like drug interactions, but with cannabis there are none? Lethal overdose? Never happened, never.  Legal liability?  Never been a concern for Health Canada before so why would it be now?

Why do I need shoppers?
