Very strange thing to say regarding any company.  I can just hear your contribution to the boardroom conversation:  

"Hey, do we have any lawsuits pending against our company?... No? Well, by golly we better get some started, taint something of ours, be negligent with one of our products. Why? Because ""Any company worth its salt has pending lawsuits against it".

Thats the stupidest and most irrational explanation for a company's poor performance that I have ever heard. But thanks for the laugh.
