I agree, this is very conservative but I suspect there will be a minute where the stock will colapse and drop maybe 1 or 2$ from current price when the new shares are added and given at a discount e.g.: I bought 10,000 shares at 27.80$  and try to sell half right away for quick profit.  That would make the stock dive down quickly then it will bounce back to 28 ish and slowly go to 30$ by January like you said.

The goal is to put a PO at 26 ish to hope to buy on that dive to offset the almost 10$ loss of share for the year (if it reach 26$ this year, was trading at 36$ last January) that's nice entry point very atttractive for someone seeking long position with nice dividend that should bring back the price a bit I hope.
