RE:RE:Oh crappers...share buyback is hereIf a stock is undervalued a buyback is objectively good for shareholders, there can't (or shouldn't) be any denying that. 

The point about the options can be seen as a good one, but anybody worth their salt looking at the company has already factored these options into their valaution. So the act of buying back shares issued through options only, I repeat, ONLY, has the effect of reducing shares outstanding. While yes the NCIB is for 6.5 million shares and there's options outstanding for that, the two are not necessarily related. And everyone should have already known about the options, they have been public knowledge. You can have a problem with all the options issued (I do) but that doesn't affect the efficacy of the buyback. They are two different things.

Not to say that buybacks can't be used improperly, but it is ignorant to declare all buybacks bad (or good for that matter).
