KL and Eric SprottI first bought into KL when it was announced ES was becoming board chairman. After following Sprott's successes for several years it became clear to me that he saw something special is KL. Then he started buying Newmarket (and so i bought) and then Newmarket was bought out by KL. We all need to again listen to Sprott's video comments from Jekyl island where he speaks about Fosterville's (formerly Newmarket) growing grades, particularly the Swan Zone. Then there are the new shaft they will place at Macassa which Tony expresses as pretty much a new mine.
Sprott is in the business of making money....primarily for himself of course....but good to tag along. He has other picks but this is the one that stands out due to huge grades and future grade prospects in bith country locations and very low AISC. Huge cash flow building up and investment in Novo is their wildcard but base operations will drive sp going forward. Last time I looked ES had 21.5M shares in KL (plus 25.8M share in Novo plus warrants if exercised) so he's well invested in KL operations plus Pilbarra potential.
Management is a key driver for any company and I've been involved in several that were less than stellar. IMO with ES driving this operation and choosing management team and investing big with his own personal cash, I think KL has a leg up on most others.....BUT in the end it'll be growing grades and low AISC that will make KL best in show. All JMHO of course!
