Wow, your knowledge of history is severely lacking.  How about the Roman Empire that lasted from roughly 27BC to 1453AD?  Or maybe the Ottoman Empire that existed from 1299AD to 1922AD?  How about the Khmer Empire that lasted from 802AD to 1432AD?  The Kush Empire, the Venetian Empire, and on and on.
