If they really wanted to bury news then they wouldn't release it and deal with those consequences.  There are other companies that dont put out releases for every tidbit, such as financials.  If those are stellar for some companies then it goes directly to SEDAR without a peep, hoping to slide under the radar until some diligent investor picks it up and announces to the rest of the readers.  You are grasping at straws trying to draw crooked lines between a news release and your imagined nefarious backroom dealings.
