I think India shot themselves in the foot by lowering the potash subsidy for farmers earlier in the year. They did that in hopes that they could negotiate lower potash prices with suppliers to offset the costs but the potash price per ton is up year over year. To my knowledge, they have imported less than normal this year and it will just end up hurting farmers and their country's food supply. That's another reason I'm bullish in 2018 because I think there is going to be much higher demand for potash next year in India and there's no other option for them other than to increase imports.
