Validating CBD from Hops is the least of their issues.  The entire globe is liberalizing MJ and Hemp and the entire education over the last number of years surrounds those plants.

To introduce "hey we can replicate it from another plant" is a sales pitch that will take ages.

We already have synthetic CBD available today anyway.
