License Approval I'm a shareholder of VFF, and have been for a few months now. Sorting through all of the information that has been posted here is nothing short of confusing. Here is my take, VVF already sells its product (Tomatoes, Green Peppers, and cucumbers) to everyone throughout North America.
They are one of the largest, low cost vegatable producers in North America for years. The company has traded publicly since 2006 first, as an income trust, and later as a stock(corporation). I as a Canadian would be shocked if this company was not granted a license to grow cannibis. This is not some fly by night operation, The employees who work at Village Farms are the best in the business at the work they do.
I'm LONG on this play and have no worries moving forward. The risk is "IF" they get a license. And to me, that's not a risk, They have a partner who already is licensed and they have the knowledge to make whatever changes or retrofits have to be made in order to conform to government standards. Once production gets under way, there will be very few producers who could stand in front of this companies forward growth.
Why don't you do what I have done...BUY and HOLD, do yourself a favour, tuck this baby away, and don't worry about day to day fluctuations in the stock price. You can thank me later..
May future endevors bring riches beyond you wildest dreams
