RE:Potential ACB PartnersTough to say, but you have to really like how ACB is getting a piece of everything - picks and shovels with Larssen, Radient and now Micron Waste. Then a nice working arrangement with Namaste, who I think will continue to grow, they are a rock solid entity in thw world of vaping products etc. for one. The biggie could be something with big tobacco, especially with ACB's ownership stake in Radient, which can remove nicotine from cigs with their tech.
A couple of things on the radar: ACB has a relationship with TGOD - The Green Organic Dutchman - in that their CFO was formerly with ACB, leaving I believe on very good terms. Larssen Greenhouses is building TGOD's huge facility in Quebec. I believe TGOD will be a huge player (they are all organic) - too big for a merger - but I expect some knid of business deal.
After that, edibles (food and drink) are going to be massive following final approval once legalization is checked off. 2 companies just opened on tsx - time will tell if they fly, but I like both : Phivida, which right now is striclty CBD and has a foothold already in the US, and Nivida, a Canadian company with small production capacity and big aspirations on edibles. Check their websites; I liked both enough to invest for longterm (again, edibles will go but may take a little longer than the straight cannabis companies - of course Namaste has lready taken off prior to when it really will with legalization, so who knows).
Will there be a producing company out there to merge? Probably. Don't think it will be Newstrike - certsin it won't based on ACB statements with the Cannimed takeover. It would have to be a company with quality facilties to start - perhaps WeedMD. Like this company and it has production potential in southern Ontario. Would buy stock but have no cash on hand at the moment - all invested - and will not borrow to invest. The other smaller company (smaller compared to the big 4 or 5) is Emerald; again, I think it is too big for an ACB merger and its managemetn team is also exceptional.
There were rumours about an Aphria ACB merger as there are some positive relations between CEOs of both, but that would be a surprise to me.
As Booth and Battley have stated, they are looking for business arrangements with other cannabis companies that want or are currently having greenhouses built by Larsse. By the same token, I would expect them to look to make deals with other companies that would be interested in using Radient and Micron Waste technologies. I think both of those companies could ultimately fall under the ACB ownership umbrella, and again, I like it. Picks and shovels.
