RE:I really don't get it

RE:I really don't get itWhy would you pay multiples for a firm that has no value?  This is about business opposed to some degree of notarity where value is questionable. The Newstrike deal was nothing but a poison pill, brought on by one very incompetent CEO, Brent Zetl.

MPetersen wrote: I really don't understand why Aurora didn't try for a threesome in the first place... ACB/CMED/HIP. That would have been a pretty good deal IMO. Can someone please enlighten me as to the thought process here?

It seems to me that there is zero benefit to going on the attack against a deal already worked out amicably between CMED and HIP.  Why didn't ACB just try to join the deal or make arrangements for a deal afterwards instead of trying to undermine the very company they are trying to "help"? I just don't understand this ridiculous cry baby fighting over such a comparitively small issue.

Even if they don't like HIP. Who cares? Maybe they just don't like the music? HIP is a recreational brand. No one has recreational revenue! Even if ACB were to just envelop the brand into their own, there would still be some benefit gleaned. Makes me feel like there is something else going on here. West versus East? Hydro prices in Ontario? Some guy working at HIP stole my girlfriend? Gord Downie made out with my sister and never called her back? What is it?
