Why I'm a Novo Bull...Now More Than Ever!Because we've just gotten a dose of reality, a gold, oops, cold glass of water splashed in our faces, that's why.
Think about it. After a few all over the map bulk sample results management came clean today and told us what we already knew--getting a handle on grade will be a challenge because of the nugget effect.
We're talking bulk samples of .67, .17, .15 and .1 gp. (I think there was another one in the .40s gpt but what the hey it's just a ton of rock from a trench.)
Detour Gold touched $35 eighteen months ago and they get a lousy stinkin .2 gpt! Apparently they can beaver away at it for the next twenty five years, as it is an accessible, easy to mine deposit
But still, .2 gpt. Fossickers in the Pilbara can do that and get their own reality tv show thrown in for gravy!
Novo just went from being the most overrated to the most underrated exploration play in one day!
It's the times. Blink and bitcoin drops $1500. Oops there goes ethereum.
I'm with the old guys--Moriarty and Keith Barron--who say just mine it. As he composed today's news release, when he wrestled with how much rock he'll move for sample sizes to be representative, you couldn't have blamed him if QH had been thinking 'Novo is about mining not marketing'.
One day he'll just announce that sampling is over. Stockhouse will presumably boil over with cries of 'Why Quinton, why?' To which he will reply 'Too busy mining'.
