Another mostly for new or newer stock peeps

Another mostly for new or newer stock peepsA few thihgs today from another newer person who has done a lot of research:

If u r new, get online brtoker thru your bank a must.
Set up watchlists - put stocks from similar sectors together to assist with checking things out. For example,. today, most of the cannabis stocks are down. Sets your m ind at ease if u are only watching your one or 2 stocks and they are dropping.

The safest bet if u r someone who does not want to (or have the time to) closely monitor your cannabis stock has to still be Canopy, which is flying today, along with Aphria (to a lesser extent).

If u are  bit of a gambler, consider the copany I believe has the most to gain short term and will by summer's end flex their capacity and international muscles to solidly be top 3 longterm, and that is our own Aurora. If the takevoer bid news is good,m this stock will never see the 7 dollar area again. Contray to the norm - when an acquisition happens there is usually some selling as shorter term people want to avoid a share dilution dip - I do not think this will happen here. I have no doubt that were we not involved in the takeover bid, we would be soaring today along with the other big 2. I believe it will be worth it though. If u are not a gambler, u may simply want to hold what u have and wait. I have absolutely no cash left on hand or I would probably buy another 2k shares or so, as I believe regardless of the takeover that ACB will be well up come legalization and beyond. Canopy will be the first to 30 and 40 dollars, Aphria beamce the 4th to go over 15. I think we will be the 2nd to 20 with the takeover and will challenge Canopy approaching the 40 mark. Obviously, I believe there will be a handful (3 - 4) companies to hit 40 within 12 - 24 months max.

DIPS TODAY - I think Emerald is the best buy right now after it dropped to 3.90 and sits right around 4 now. Dont believe me do your homework but I like this company and their management team, and I believe they will be right back over 5 with their first announcement of the NewYear.

TGIF has dropped a big chunk of their upswing from the merger yesterday; for those looking at jumping in with a smaller entry amount. I have no shares with them; I also am not sure what their standing is with respect to operating in the US and if there is any chance of being delisted from TSX. Without this info, I wouldn't jumpo in, but check it out - one thing they have going for them isd marketing; I think a catchy name definitely helps in this industry.
Phivida which has killed since opening this week has had a dip and is steadying out at about 1.25 which might be a good entry point for anyone looking for a company with a lot of promise and focused on consumables. They have health/fitness-centric products that I will buy, no question. Very glad I checked them out and bought in first morning; I think this is a 2 dollar stock prior to spring.
Namaste continues to soar. I have absolutely no idea if this will dip today or will continue to rise; it is a great company with great products, a great ecommerce setup and already an international customer base and exposure.  Check out their investor/business focused site namaste technologies and also their consumer site, namastevapes.ca. I made an inquiry online about the best vape for me (CBD oil) when legalization kicks in; I received responses from a product expert as well as the CEO just saying hi and complimenting his staff member. That is pretty rare, and it is not like they are small or quiet. Very glad I bought in at just under a dollar, and really like this company as an international supplier of quality products. they are also into making their own oils.

I still think the company that could have the biggest "to the moon" moment will be Aurora/Cmed with a successful takevoer. Fingers crossed. Like them longterm regardless, but that would be a huge shot in the arm for those patiently waiting.

Christmas selloffs - if not aware, consider selling any stocks that are losers for ypou and you dont care about hanging onto for tax relief. I sold 2 companies I like - Radient and Micron Waste - simply to cut my tax bill. I expect bpoth of these will still be good buys a month from now (that is how long u need to wait if u want the tax loss) if I want to reinvest.

I think a few people sold Aurora just wanting to free up cash to play, expecting some more down time as the takeover plays out. I'm not so much of a gambler (plus as I said I'm tapped - no coin!) so I'm just holding. Of note - while both Aurora and Cmed are down a bit, Newstrike has gone notaby down the last 2 days, indicative perhaps of people selling as they lose some hope in what would have been a very lucky break for them with the Cmed acquisition.

I hope everyone on these boards makes the right picks and makes a pile of money. Great chance for regular people to be in on it, not just the usual profiteers. Good luck and Merry Christmas - Good luck and Merry Christmas!
