I think you´re interpreting the chart backwards. What it says to me is that enzyme production was part of enzyme R&D which necessarily preceeded all the other process optimization R&D, and is therefore well advanced. And this is consistent with phone comments I recall (from Thom) that
enzyme production will be contracted out as needed and is essentially routine and without scale up concerns.
