RE:Oil picks besides cardinal
My two big holdings are CJ.TO and BTE.TO
BTE.TO will fly tomorrow with BTE NYSE up over 12% today (the TSX is close, the NYSE is open).
BTE is a good trading stock. I was an investor in it for years until I finally realized it wasn't a good investing stock. It's a good trading stock. Now I follow traders who buy and sell it over shorter periods, generally weeks and I'm starting to learn how to use technical charts. If you can't beat them, join them! But unlike them, I don't short sell. I just go to cash or move to safer stocks like Cardinal or other sectors while oil languished there until now.
I also followed a very risky traded to GXO and TAO but he's not too convincing on those so it's really just lottery money I have in those. I have a significant portion of my portfolio in BTE and CJ with CJ having the top spot as a real investment grade oil stock. But if you like wild rides, BTE certainly cannot be beaten.
