RE:best commentary on this debacle to date...................It is indeed a good article in that it provides a pretty thorough summary of the whole situation. It does not provide any new information or supply me with anything I didn't not already know from other sources.
It does, however, contain one material flaw. It posits the result for common shareholders based on a resulting value for the company of between $600MM and $900MM, which will indeed be the resulting book value, but it is not the value at which the market will value the company. The market will value it at a multiple of that, or, alternatively at a multiple of some other figure, ie., EBITDA, and the amount will be much higher. Perhaps the market will not do so right on Day 1, but it will ultimately do so...say, within a year or two.
Right or wrong, that is what I have bet on...
