No kidding lol. It's incredible how many people don't understand simple ratios.

Anyways, this is not a play on words, just simple math. '1/10' is '10/100' or 10% or '.10' in decimal form. Just multiply your total shares by .10 to get the number of VMD shares. So in your example 5000 shares of PHM gets you 500 shares not 50.
