RE:RE:RE:RE:Realist2018 Extensive mining has taken place in the Alabama Graphite Belt. In the early 1900’s the Fixico mine operated close to the Coosa property. In 1918 25 flotation plants were active in the belt but were closed due to low prices of graphite concentrates shortly afterwards. In the second world war there was a recurrence of mining. In 1942-44 a thorough review was made of all the known graphite producing area’s in the belt. The extensive knowledge of the geology of the area available should make it possible for Alabama Graphite to take proper samples for their primary and secondary test work so I will not contest any of their conclusions. I only gave very general opinions and am pleased to have had an exchange of opinions with Realist2018.
Now I am waiting for further news which course of action will be taken by Westwater, f.i. if they think a FS is necessary or not.

The costs are all over the place with an average of 5.7% of the project cost for underground mines and 4.6% for surface mines (Figure 2). If this last percentage is applicable to Alabama Graphite with 43 million cost for the first 7 years of operation, it should be $1,978,000. AGF, however, assessed the cost to be between 3 and 6 million dollar depending on the scope of the study. Who is correct? The future will teach us.
