RE:RE:Can I move stocks to TFSA trading account?

RE:RE:Can I move stocks to TFSA trading account? Thanks for the info.
I'll call TD to execute this move over the phone as I don't want to mess up on the portal.
as I have most of these gains i have right now from prior years losses,
but if it exceeds, then I want to start transfering to my TFSA trading account.

The value for your TFSA purposes becomes they value they are transferred in at (i.e. the fair value of your contribution), not your cost base. So if you own 1000 shares at a cost base of $5 but the market value is $10 on the day of transfer, your contribution value will be $10,000 rather than $5,000.
