I dont post much but have been here since October 2017 in DM...I have been involved in a few spin offs in my investing days...
DM's sp will not necessarily go down as they have several verticals that can and -imho- will have positive effect to the SP. The spin off is a means to recognize the full value of one company  - DM - with its many verticals and aggressive management.  Graph will be recognized for its value as a separate entity. IMHO - in the case of DM/Graph, this will be a win -win scenario  - as the timing in this hot market is perfect and the company's business models are sound (no dilution, aggressive, proprietary tech etc).
In addition, their investor relations via 8020 etc is second to none and this lends credibility and transparency to their management staff. 
Just these simple business basics/principals should see them through this process quite successfully...
