RE:CRA ISSUESeptember 13 2017 final comments were made. Decision 6-18 months following.
My bet is they lose but what do I know?
The 2 billion dollar question is if they do, what do they owe? They have provisioned 400 million.
So a decision (or settlement) of around 500 million would be viewed as a win, and the stock price would likely go up.
I think as they have loses to put towards their amounts owed now, a 2 billion dollar loss would be the worst they could get and my guess would be closer to 1.8 billion.worst case scenario. The price will go down
The second most important question you should be asking is what will the spot price be in 9 to 12 months from now when the decision comes in?
That will determine the damage to the company
This is a great management team and at this point I can now say they have done everything they could possibly have done other than settle. They should have been doing these things earlier, however another big producer has an important event occurring Q4 2018. Ever notice that last years Cameco cuts ends in October 2018 and will be revisited then? 10 months seem like a very random date
