RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:NewsRbm0524,
They already have done clinical trials in Canada ( although on a limited number of subjects) and the cell pouch works and is safe. US trials are needed for verification . You also know Sva has hemophilia project with an amazing breakthrough in regeberative medicine . Yes there is some risk that needs to be derisked ....
Also Sva has been doing large animal models for years now . If they sign a pharma deal , the company signing the deal would have done their homework to validate the cell pouch independently before spending any money.... in my opinion.
I disagree with you on marijuana industry. Everybody and their dog is buying mj stocks. It is a bubble . You have companies worth billions of dollars .
The mj market in Canada is not going to be $50 billion dollar annual industry ... in fact the hype surrounding the frenzy is all hype. You think mj is going to be bigger than wine sales in Canada?
I serioulsly doubt it. Mj industry is going to be like the telecom cellular phone industry . You will have 4 or 5 large companies that will dominate the market . The people who already smoke mj will do it regardless. You are not going to get a rush of half the population to buy mj because it is legal now like wine. So I th8nk the mj is speculative and volatile. I think companies like Aurora , Canopy and Aphria will do ok but it will be tough fir the rest of them. Aboriginal are going to be selling mj on reserves that will not be taxed ..... rtime will tell but mj dies have some risk , it is a trade at best for me ( good trade) but not investment.
Sva on the other hand is an investment with some risk. But with disruptive technology that helps the health of society unlike mj.....
