RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Just waiting on a positive new release...Hi Pr1vacy
What I know to be fact is that getting this technology to work in MATLAB is a piece of cake. In equal fact I know that getting this technology to work in solid form and detect an object in a less than Radio sterile environment is a challenge but certainly withn the capabilities of their team to perfect. So that is the actual detection part in a relatively clean environment like a business reception area or a quiet shop.
Then comes the Isolation of background noise clutter. This is rarely homogenous in busy places like hotel lobbies. But can be modelled in places where their is a distance from Ato B that is short and controled and people are walking in a unifomed pattern (which is what they were seen doing analysis on as per the picture from twitter) This task is the BIG one.
The point where the team are as far as I can fathom from what I have read and also ascetained from the FCC report is that they have took custody of several university built prototypes and they are starting to build industrial versions of those prototypes to engineer out points of failure and engineering in relaibility and cost measures.
The tertiary task will invole changes for a manufacturing process that can not only scale, but allows for modular enhancement. That is a process that requires the hard and fast failure of what is weak or wrong so that the product cuts its teeth before school. From what I have read in cold hard language is that the management team have based a great deal of their predictions and hope on 2018 being a year of product launch. I do not think that this is an overly optomistic prediction with the team they are building. I believe that what you will see is a soft launch with PBIED, pipe bomb and large assault weaponry detection as a first launch capability. In relatively controlled choke points .
The smaller weaponry capability and more random environments added software "switch on" when the digital signal processing can eliminate the finer background clutter.
They have some great guys there and they have a relatively decent of funding in place to parachute in some heavyweight experience to hit the gas pedal.
These guys have is energy, heart, belief and they are building meaningful technical capability by the day. The areas of science that they are depending upon are sound and proven. The secret sauce getting them to behave together and work in concert. If they have issues with one of them and its not behaving and that will likely be the background processing, they can simply modify the environment to make it work until they fix what needs fixing.
