RE:RE:If you do not understand the bidding process...I asked that question last year after the first sale of fancies and specials. I was informed that if Debeers would know how much profit we made on the winning bid then that would affect the bidding process. The same applies if we knew how much Debbers made on their succesfull bid then we would adjust the bidding at the next split to reflect that. That is the reason for the secrecy. That way we have a better chance of realizing a better gain. If we fine tune the process too much the we will outbid each other beyond the market value.
