RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:PATSCAN TESTING SITESHi Newkid
Thank you for the mail. I also know where exactly where you’re coming from in regard to the seemingly over emphasis in the terms of a word and the OTT spelling out of things to give definition. I also accept and agree that this comes over as condescending. It’s not done for any other purpose than to suggest a bit more of a drill down to the bare crux of a message for sake of time.
When I respond to a post, I am cognisant that the post is going out to general population and there are people , especially the ones on here who like to throw stones and those who see words that simply aren’t there , make up a story fuelled by the statecrafted manipulation of neither complete truth nor lies to pump the stock.
After seeing the startling predictions and flights of fancy people were taking yesterday on the Facebook board in relation to a tweet, I am of the opinion that the Kool Aid fuelled perceptions of certain people are without any bridle of reality of just how often science kicks people in the teeth throughout the invention process.
I also saw on here that someone mentioned a company called Evolv and the fact Evolv have been working on a similar concept since 2008 and are launching its first “retail” product only in 2018.
There doesnt seem seem to be any consideration on these boards as to why despite the owners of Evolv putting several million of their own cash in and being backed by Lux and Bill Gates or the and far more financial liquidity than many to get it done as to why it took them the time it did ?
It took SAIC with a small army of physicists and 47 million dollars and five years to get counterbomer off the drawing board. It was then sold to Rapiscan where it was then mothballed.
Pats mission is to create a shrunken down version of variations of that technology for a fraction of the price. A brilliant concept and very timely indeed. If they continue to hire wisely and drill down on ensuring that the concept of its operation and reliability is compelling and don’t run out of cash in the process, then they are in a solid position. Until that point it is a tech venture where anything can happen both ways for the most logical and equally the most bizarre of reasons.
The way I see it is that perspective of the investor is similar to that of your taste in music or the reason they got married or not. It’s unique to individual perspective that only that person making the commitment truly knows. This is of course usually a mixture of faith emotion and personal bias.
Im not of the opinion or qualified in any way to encourage or suppress people’s beliefs nor would I think for one moment that trying to do so would be a constructive use of my time or in beliefs in the without having such diversity in perspective that we would all be trapped an Quasi Stepford - Orwellian existence.
I do however believe that it is in my opinion an essential practice for all people, not least those with hard earned cash is on the line, to actually study beyond the sensational and the initial face value of a statement posted on Facebook or here or a company tweet and maybe start with questioning the actual reason or intended purpose for a press release , tweet or statement and as the why and what the true gain , purpose and motive is.
In my opinion that company tweet was simply to show a signs of activity refresh to investors and to show that they are talking with the right suppliers.
Certainly nothing more and also nothing less.
Once again Newkid , apologies from my side and extended apologies to those who I may have seemed over stern on drilling down to basics on word definition to support the employment of clarity.
I am am deeply encouraged by your challenge and the holding feet to the fire on certain statements.
Have a great weekend.
All the best
