Thinking Out loud……thinking out side of the box… Trying to digest what just happened to all of us, having a discussion with Jason back in Nov we discussed the volume that had taken place. From Sept 01, 2017 to Dec 31, 2017 we traded 25M shares, one of the things discussed was that BFD shareholders
were not a very loyal bunch, I think I would have to agree. So I have a few takes, certainly not a conspiracy theory , more like what if…..
Lets say we do not get the resignation from the board of Mr Zhaung at the up coming board meeting, that means his 10M shares are still in tack, and he still has to follow reporting rules. If he resigns, then he no longer has to report and this shares are still in his possession. Ron Stewarts shares are negligible, if he too resigns then he no longer has to report his sales. Neither has resigned, so I am thinking part of their positions just accumulated did not come from these two.
At the time of this writing according to ink report, nothing has changed, Ron still CEO and Zhaung is still on the board, so these 16 million shared did not come from them. And no one on the board out side of OSK has bought any paper.
My theory here then is that back in Sept/ Oct OSK had their own plants, wives, adult kids people that are in a non reporting status position, start accumulating this paper. When they hit that number of 16M shares &/or 27 % of the company they need to comply and put out a releases.
WB, made a comment one worth pursing. At this point with this stake position going forward now do they need to press release they are going to be buying more shares, if not, can they continue to to an end around game. There was a very large group in PQ that held positions, funds, perhaps these shares came from them, these funds are know to both BFD and OSK. Typically funds eliminate positions prior to year end and before tax loss limit dates, so why wait to Jan of the following year, perhaps they disposed enough to satisfy cleaning out their portfolio. Bottom line, shares came from somewhere and we dont have much of a loyal shareholder base!!!
I guess the question(S) then is as follows: Are they going to continue a slow accumulation? I dont think there is anything stopping OSK from doing the same thing? At 49% I think they have to declare their position that they are going to make a take over offer, and steel the company. There are at least two properties, un tested that are worth $5-10M. Thus, may be the reason they are not going after Windfall, they know its there and they can get it cheap…16M shares at .14 a pretty good demonstration this and less then 5 stakeholders sold, this smells like a dead salmon on the beaches of Tofino.
All I can say, is to all of us stop selling your paper and see what happens, stocks not going to go much under .14 now, OSK average cost is .15. I think Jason is going to be key here, hes going to have to round up his funds and try and figure out what they are doing….( Is he for OSK or for the shareholders? ) tough call...
Share count, OSK 54M, Jens 12M, Zhaung 10M, groups in BC & Ont 15M, funds 75M ( 166M ) That fund count could be light, Jason is the key to this knowledge….
