Unfortunately, they can only make an announcement when all terms and conditions are signed and sealed. If that is not the case by the time of their year-end earnings report in February, it will be really interesting to see how they deal with it. In my view, the total silence cannot go beyond that date. There is a possibility is that they have made a deal, but what is holding up an announcement is that they are awaiting the year end numbers, which may be relevant to the deal made. In that case, the announcement will come with the numbers in February.
I am just speculating. But a partial announcement that gives any indication either way could be very dangerous if it is not based on facts, and ultimately the facts go the other way.
Absolute total hogwash..................
"Unfortunately they can only make an announcement when all terms and conditions are signed and sealed"........................... This is your finest prognostication to date meetoo..............
They will be announcing a recapitalisation proposal - not a deal. A proposal that will require the different asset holders to vote - typically with a 66% majority for the proposal to become a deal....................
What is clear is that no proposal has been forthcoming - because (and I infer) the ad hoc committees are deadlocked..................... They cannot come to a deal that will meet with the approval of the majority holders of the different asset classes.
As consistently stated on this board - as of today there is no "deal" on the table.
