Aphria Inc. APHA

Aphria, which is headquartered in Ontario, produces and sells medicinal and recreational cannabis. The company operates through retail and wholesale channels in Canada and internationally. Aphria is a main distributor of medical cannabis to Germany and has operations in over 10 countries outside of Canada. However, it does not have exposure to the U.S. CBD or THC markets due to the constraints of federal prohibition. It has some U.S. exposure through the acquisition of SweetWater, a craft brewer

RE:how big is the market

RE:how big is the market
It is estimated that around 15% of the Canada population will use canabis from time to time. That equals to 5 500 000 users. They should spend in average $1000/year, which gives $20/week or about 2g/week. This gives 572 000 kg/year or 572 tons. That's the numbers I work with to take my investment decisions.

P.S Note that edibles are the big market here with an higher selling price. Potential exportation must be added to these numbers.
