RE:RE:Question
RE:RE:QuestionIMO the NR did not clearly articulate (in laymen enough terms) what the JV with Tagspire means and how the application of this blockchain technology can be used to fundamentally change the monetization of content creation.
Today, content creators primarily rely on advertising, affiliate marketing, etc. to reap some type of reward (revenue) for their work; think about people that post cool and unique content on YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, etc. Their images and videos get downloaded, copied and re-used without any type of compensation. Here’s how the blockchain can help:
1. The blockchain essentially acts as a public database for all the content placed on the network – giving it a unique ID and a timestamp of when it was created and more importantly who created it. Once saved, it is virtually unchangeable. Let that sink in….. instant Intellectual Property or Rights Management
2. Platforms ( like a Tagspire) can use the blockchain to help creators setup a ‘contract’ with users that want to consume their material – facilitating an instant payment transaction; herein lies the link to crypto….this folks is a direct creator to consumer payment network.
Giving people more financial upside for the creation and posting of media is simply put a game changer….
