A lot of hype around that word in general. As for Memex they may be looking at 'bc' as it relates to security, transferring and storing data more securely. The industry will surely benefit as a result of new technology that better supports using machine data..... namely AI and or machine learning. In such a case, Memexs software in itself would somewhat act like an ERP system. All and all I think many of these outside technologies and companies may see Memex as a company that holds a large amount of clean and assembled data they can "supercharge". The ERP for machines.... instead of humans if you will.
None of this requires blockchain in any way.

A business case would be sensitive information would be packaged into a block and sent to it's receiver. Servers would mine it, solve the algorithm / decrypt and add it to chain to publish it. That would solve the security and make it impossible to be hacked.
Imagine selling that - we use blockchain encryption on top of own security to send information real time. This can be done anywhere in the world, it does not matter. It's doable and it might be the last step to gain more accceptance but they would have to expand their suite for it and that might take a year or two.
Are you seriously speculating about this or just having a bit of a laugh?
Both. Blockchain was born out of security and a major issue with OEE is security so that is the serious part. Having Memex be able to incorporate the two of them is the laugh part. However if you can promise clients security for their machine data that's a major selling point. Come on man, you don't know this???
Blockchain has no security benefit for Memex customers.
That said, making up some BS story and pretending it does would be a very smart idea. Almost no one has a clue about what blockchain is, I wouldn't be suprised AT ALL if they could goose the stock price 100% with some announcement.
Are you serious I have been studying block chain for 2 years now. My first interest was a video from Ted and then I was hooked on it. I have no interest in cyrptocurrency but the means of security through a global ledger system is intriguing. The thought of online security through similar technology was well before bitcoin. It just never gained traction and one of the reasons for it was security. Anyways I am not interested in doing this I know more than you thing. Believe what you will.
Don't assume you know something more than someone you don't know. That's ridiculous to do and pompous...
Then please, impress us with your deep knowledge, particularly the relevance to Memex.
Or, is what's really going on here is I'm interrupting your pump job to those who don't know any better? That would be most consistent with the history of discussions on this board.
