Namaste 420 Recap (01/17/2018)I will leave out anything to do with the first half of the show where Sean was absent due to his late plane arrival, because really there wasn’t a whole lot of new information detailed. The lady definately held it down though and kept the ball rolling nicely. Sean made it onto the show in decent timing however which was nice to see, and once I had heard a few of the things that he had to say, I was even happier that he made it after all. Up until that point I wasn’t even going to bother with this recap. When I first watched the YouTube video 4 hours ago it had 439 views…. I just looked now and its up to 1442. They had 835 subscribers on their YouTube channel last Wednesday, and now they’re up to 948.
He starts out mentioning how investors were disappointed with the short air time he received yesterday on Cheddar. Most people believe it was because of the smoking blonde who was interviewing a weed chef prior to Sean’s segment, which in my opinion was just wasting a bunch of perfectly good bud by boiling it. The thing is however, that this was free publicity on a highly viewed web show. The little short clip of Seans interview could eventually reach up to 20 million views, which is a lot of new potential investors. Sean also mentions them bringing him back whenever they have big news, so that will be great for publicity! Did anyone notice that pic of the CTO pop up at about 17:15 in the bottom right corner? Haha
Sean states that they have already responded to all of Health Canada’s questions about their application, and their conformity confirmation could be in the mail any day now. If their buildout meets specifications, it could be in as little as 10 days that the sales license it granted, so my guess is now February 2nd or 9th for their sales license approval. I am sure glad that they decided to have David Hyde come on board for their license app. For those that are not aware, his firm is responsible for about half of all Health Canada license approvals for LP’s.
Apparently people have been asking about whether Namaste could utilize blockchain/ cryptocurrency, and Sean believe that the logistics side of it could totally be utilized to Namaste’s advantage. He also said to look out for an announcement in the following weeks regarding this. Namaste has been accepting Bitcoin pretty much since the beginning, so that actually says a lot in itself. With the right maneuvers in the crypto world, I can see this bringing more value to the company. The logistics aspect he mentions makes perfect sense for their company. The SCO will be on in a future Namaste 420 show to further explain the details, since that is not Sean’s department.
Sean once again confirms that he has absolutely zero intention of selling his company any time soon. He knows how much of a behemoth this will inevitably become over time, so selling it now would be a major mistake. He also once again notes that Apple has approved NamasteMD as the first telemedicine app on their APP store. There goes one catalyst scratched off the list I just made the other day!
One of the questions asked was about the integration of all their sites being on the same sales platform, which Sean responds that it will likely be within the next 90 days. He also mentions that their newest site, in Ireland has been converting at rates they have yet to even see until now, which is exciting to hear. This is yet another catalyst that I forgot to add to my list.
Another question asked was about whether Namaste’s technology will be able to be utilized in the recreational marijuana space as well, to which Sean responds that they have already been in talks with government agencies on how their technology can be used in the rec space. Always one step ahead of the game it seems. That is ultimately how he describes NamasteMD as well, with it being even more simple to purchase cannabis medically through them as it would be to do so recreationally. The hugest advantage there for them is the fact that recreational marijuana can not be shipped through mail order! I don’t know a single person who doesn’t already get their product that way. It’s 2018 for Christ sake. Once again Sean speak upon these research projects that they have under way shortly. I’m very interested in hearing exactly what is they’re working on.
Just as I had suspected in my previous post of the future catalysts predictions, regarding edible and extracts, Sean will in fact be securing a position in the edibles world within the next couple months, with yet another category being added to their inventory list. Preparing for when edibles become legal in Canada on July 1st 2019 gives them the opportunity to be first to offer the products on their sites. Always ahead of the game. It would be wild to see them form supply agreements with TNY or EAT, but I wont be the least bit surprised when it does happen.
Sean says he has a total of 40 meetings set up next week, with 10 being in Toronto on Monday alone! The rest will likely be in Vancouver, where he will spend the remainder of the week. He says the deals being made in Vancouver will be game changers for Namaste. He was also asked to speak at the Canaccord conference where many of the top dogs will also be in attendance, so that is a clear indicator of how much of a leader Namaste has already become in the space…..before even selling weed.
