AMAZON OPENS NEXT-GEN, AMAZON GO, STORE MONDAY.Amazon is out with news this morning about the opening of it's next-gen grocery store that will open Monday in Seattle. After a year, in developement, the new Amazon Go store will feature a cashierless store. Customers enter the store through sensors that identify the customer, that is aready a registered member of the store's client base. As the customer makes their way through the store and removes an item from a store shelf, to place in their cart, sensors in the shelf register the item on the customer's account. If the item is returned to the shelf then the sensors register that the item has been returned to the self and the item is deleted from the customer's account. Once the customer departs the store, with their selected items, their customer account is billed and the payment transaction is concluded and the customer did not have to wait in line in a busy checkout line. For more detail, regarding this roll-out, just GOOGLE Amazon and the story should come up.
As everyone is aware, Amazon is one of the F5 companies and makes up part of the group affectionately known, by traders, as the FANG stocks. These stocks are the top 5 stocks trading on the US exchanges and the 5 most valuable domestic companies trading in the US today.
For sometime, now, Edgewater Wireless, has been working with an F5 client and have been under a non-discloser arrangement with the mystery company. If one looks at the Company Presentation, Amazon Go has been used as an example , in the Presentation, of the future of retail. Investors have just had news regarding YFI's collaboration with Kroger and it's rollout. Kroger is a F500 company, trading on the US Exchanges and one of the top 500 companies in the US today. With the rollout of Amazon's new Amazon Go store, in Seattle, tomorrow, will YFI investors finally discover that the mystery F5 company is indeed Amazon? If so, I certainly hope, that when the identity of the F5 company is revealed that the news is met with far greater enthusiasm than the Kroger news.
I guess we will find out on Monday. Good luck and good fortune to all YFI investors.
