The point I was trying to make is that bad things happening to young people/children is not always a catalyst for change.  

I disagree with your first statement about gun control and completely agree with your second comment about legalized pot.  That being said, I am not interested in getting into a debate about gun control haha.  Just hoping for the best for LDS!
