Yes he was a huge promoter of PVG (Pretium)...disastrous news release this AM: grade cut in 1/2 vs. F.S. and it actually appears the
management has no idea what is going on since they can't even forecast full year guidance. Their AISC range is also so large it makes people wonder...do they even understand Brucejack at all? Quartermain et al. all sold off their shares in mid October when they bought late summer. IN AND OUT. That was the other sign.
PVG reminds me of KDX. Everything with KDX seemed great after Q2 and then all he*l breaks loose in October....everything with PVG seemed great after Q3, and now all he*l breaks loose but to an even more serious degree than KDX's issues. PVG is a one mine operation and cannot afford such a serious lapse in grade. NGD as passionate also loved dearly: their AISC for Rainy River is much higher than the F.S. as well. Passionate, I guess you got burned in the end. But your calls on KL were spot on and Novo.
Again, the best picks for this year appear to be KL after recent correction, B2Gold with 900 K oz. for this year, Semafo is pretty decent, McEwen is alright and is a trading stock to go in and out. KDX needs to be diligent and focus on Nevada assets and become profitable once again to re-gain market recognition, which is all but destroyed.
