Question…is NAFTA really all that important anymore??

Canada has trade agreements with Europe (CETA) and now the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (Revised TPP).

The following countries make up the agreement: Australia, Brunei, Canada, Chile, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, Singapore and Vietnam.

Any impact from the potential loss of NAFTA has been mitigated by these trade agreements.

Also, as Mexico is included in the revised TPP, so trade between Canada and Mexico is protected.

Really, the USA is the big loser from pulling out of the original TPP, Paris Climate Agreement, and potentially NAFTA.

Global power and influence is shifting away from the USA.

Unless the USA gets with the program fast, their ship is sinking…fast.
