$400 million stolen from Coincheck Japan

$400 million stolen from Coincheck JapanIt is amazing how people could be so naive. Hackers have been able to penetrate the networks of the most advanced governments and private corporations so stealing magnetic bits on a network drive is probably easy. Individuals are also at risk because they have even less advanced security on their home networks. We have been called a troglodyte on a few occasions, and you know what, we are OK with that. But even a troglodyte knows that networks are never 100% secure and if you have a pot of gold stashed on the network, many thieves will attempt to steal it. Gold mining companies that try to latch onto the crypto craze are playing with fire. The term "crypto" will always be associated with the gold mining enterprise and they may be attaching themselves to a sinking ship. The Australian Mint is using block chain to distribute precious minerals and that is fine, they will never steal your money. The un-regulated market structure of crypto currencies makes it an easy venue for crooks to exploit. Best to stick with regulated markets. Gold can't be hacked but you knew that already.
