RE:RE:RE:Weather to drive Nat gas to record highs

RE:RE:RE:Weather to drive Nat gas to record highsiggy, I suggest you find some reliable reports.  The consensus for this week's draw is for less than 100 bcf.  So, to be optimistic, let's say 100bcf +- 10 bcf.  200 bcf - dream on. February weather is NOT predicted to be far below normal.  Look at the latest ensembles - solidly bearish for the 1st two weeks of February and bullish for the last two.  Accuracy is much better for the near term. Still plenty of time for the models to change their predicted patterns for the last half of February.

And there is a futures contract for the end of season storage level.  I believe it is currently trading around 1.2 bcf, if not higher (NO PANIC).  In 2014 the storage was only 824 bcf at the end of the withdrawal period.  I read weekly reports from reputable analysts, you are just blowing smoke.  If your number were correct, the U.S. nat gas March contract would be trading much higher than $3.17.

There is also a lot of new production coming onstream this spring and summer due to the recent completion of additional pipeline capacity from the Marcellus. If the summer prices get too high, the electricity producers will shut down their nat gas plants and fire up their coal generation.  All this is known by professional traders.

I am constructive on nat gas prices and the trend is still UP (since the last week of 2017).  However, your comments are reminiscent of a pump and dump boiler room operator..
