RE:RE:RE:Mr. Lloyd I, Miller, III past away red_deer, I don't subscribe to your thesis.  Bharti bought at less than 40% of NAV and he also knows what lies ahead for the portfolio.  I noted that the latest financials showed 2 new private numbered companies in the private holdings. One was a very small investment (24k) but the other was fairly substantial (600k).  Aberdeen typically uses these numbered companies to acquire new projects.  Then, if all goes well, the private holding is eventually spun into a publicly listed company.  That's the Aberdeen model.

By purchasing a substantial percentage of Aberdeen at a huge discount, Bharti could offer to take the company private at 60 cents on the dollar and walk away with tens of millions in profit.
