In late 2008, Luc Paiement was appointed head of Wealth Management and Ricardo Pascoe was appointed head of Financial Markets for NBF. Both are also co-Presidents and co-CEO's of NBF. In April of 2009, NBF hired Sandy Edmonstone as the Calgary based co-head of their Global Energy Investment Banking team. Rob Wonnacott originally headed the group out of Calgary, but NBF wanted to expand into the small to mid-cap oil and gas companies. Therefore, Edmonstone was responsible for the mid-tier companies and Wonnacott continued to cover the lage cap companies.
But by June 2009, the Wall Street Journal was reporting that Rob Wonnacott was planning on retiring from work for awhile, which he did in fact do. By the time Sandy Edmonstone left NBF in October 2012, he was the head of the Calgary office plus a Managing Director at NBF.
Another interesting bird who fell out of the NBF nest is Matt MacKenzie. He was the Director of Institutional Equity Sales at NBF from May 2010 to November 2011. Of course, we all know where he ended up after that...
