RE:RE:Shareholders Are Not SellingIf you use a float of 618.6 million shares then:
54.52 million shares / 618.6 million shares x100 = 8.8%
Of the float has traded since Jan 31.
Much of that would have been active traders slicing pennies. If your penny jar is big enough, it starts to adds up, especially if commissions are low. So, the percentage of real shareholders ditching stock is low, well below 8.8%. Notwithstanding the plunging chart, there is no rush for the exit. The entire drop is on very low volume.
I already know why the stock is falling by watching the trading pattern. Every uptick was immediately challenged by an instant down tick. The seller wanted the lowest price possible. That's no fund trying to exit a position. Only a dedicated short would trade like that. Only someone who wants the price to fall. It's just not showing up in the bimonthly short update, where everything comes up sunshine and flowers.
There is no secret internal Company issue that would explain falling share price. IVN is very diligent about timely reporting of material information. Does the Company have an ace up their sleeve? If they did the stock would be going up, not plunging into the abyss. Why isn't the Company commenting on the negative price action? Perhaps because there are more important issues to deal with right now. The new mining law in Congo requires 100% attention. Price action is temporary. The mining law is permanent and resolution to the crisis is the top, indeed only, priority.
But political instability is not the cause of the collapse in share price. 1) Volume is low 2) KAT has been relatively unaffected, this despite a massive meltdown in global markets.
