I beleive the price jumps are related to warrents.

From financial statements ending september 30th 2017
Three Warrant pricing periods exist with pricings of
$0.45 per Common Share for 6 months, which ended September 30th 2017
$0.60 per Common Share for the 12 month period beginning at the expiry of the Initial Period which will end September 30th 2018

$0.75 per Common Share September 30th 2018 to September 30th 2019.

Last summer there was a bump upto $0.45 and last week there is a new $0.60 one.
Until the company shows some kind of revenue, the stock price is 100% speculative.
