RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:The problem with this company is the leadGE Alf,
I agree after going back and looking at the recent NR's it seems they no longer explicitly state how much zinc and lead they will be producing but they use to clearly state in multiple releases that it was 50 million lbs of zinc and 20 million lbs of lead.
I could care less that the company at this time is mining very little silver compared to the other metals it is digging out of the ground. Give management some credit that they will be generating significant cash flow very soon while companies like GPR are mining more silver at a significant loss and losing that resource for ever. We are lucky to have this resource diversification and optionality to mine certain metals when their prices are high and we can make significant cash flow. The company will ramp up silver when it can make money getting it out of the ground.
The CEO was recently asked in an interview on BNN if they would change their name to Americas Zinc Corp due to the fact they are mining significantly more zinc than silver and he stated that their goal is too make money for their shareholders but their large silver resource and their ability to mine significantly more silver when the price cooperates is the reason they are called Americas Silver Corporation. I certainly don't think it is misleading nor is it for the company to state their production in silver equivalent ounces. If you can't make money at $17 silver and can generate cash flow of $3 million dollars a month mining other metals that you can make money getting them out of the ground and selling them then I would call you SMART Miners who are looking out for their shareholders!!
Wait until we become THE Lowest Cost Silver Producer in the World not dependent on Market Cap . You don't think that will attract investors. I have no idea how much and how quickly they can ramp up silver production at higher prices but the CEO indicates that they have a significant # of stopes that can be brought online quickly without affecting costs drastically.
The management team since taking over the company has seldom missed their guidance but the AISC cost for 2017 was not good.
And to Fred I hope I didn't come across as being rude or disrespectful because that wasn't my intent. I value and respect everyone's opinions and enjoy discussing the realistic expectations of this company.
