RE:This should speed up the red tape?

RE:This should speed up the red tape?

"Key features include the proposed creation of a single agency to oversee the review of major projects in Canada, more indigenous consultation, a stronger focus on the impact of projects on climate change and cumulative environmental impacts, quicker project review timelines, changes to a list that defines which projects must undergo review and greater projection of waterways."

Speed UP?? First off, I am all for developing resources responsibly, good for everyone, and it is currently being done in NA and around the world because companies need to be seen as good corporate citizens, they can’t get away with $hit they did 50 years ago anymore.  That said, you have some major problems with this going forward, your selfie juniormint is losing it.  One, this potential tiny mine on Baffin isn't what you would call a major project, more indigenous consultation?? First glance, it may look responsible but it will slam the door if just one group decides a project may disturb their heritage, look at your pipeline messes now and the roadblocks put up by your indeginous on just about every project floated, ring of fire? more like dead in the water. Climate change??? Oil sands in Alberta contribute less than a percent of the worlds carbon, yet, you all feel you have to pay for half of it, take a look at your carbon taxes and the belief outside of Alberta that the oil sands are the actual highway to hell.  Protection of waterways, yes it is very important, so important to the eco Nazis in BC, the most important pipeline in your history, one that will allow you to sell your oil outside of the US with out big discounts, thank you btw, be a $$$ boon to ALL Canadians, natives included, will be scuttled because you have governments wanting to scuttle it for the greenies and will use water as the excuse. Wake up Canada, this will only "speed up" the demise of your projects and further erode the global investment in your country, which in the past 2/3 years, has been flooding away.  You think you are so far "ahead" of the curve, lol, you actually looped around and are running at the back of the pack once again, but please, feel good about it.  Good Luck.
