Call me a pumper, call me a liar... Everytime ive initiated a position in a stock that has close to 50% in cash in the bank, always led to huge profit.
Every stock has a Bottom. Perhaps the EMC bottom hasnt been found.
However, facts are facts, they have 89m$ in cash position in the bank and multiple tangible, and non-tangible assets.
Few great examples where cash position made absolutely no sense with market cap...
EMH at 1.10$, 40m$ in the bank with a 100m$ valuation back then.
HVST at 0.50c, 25m$ in the bank with a 50m$ valuation back then.
CMM at 0.30c, 9m$ in the bank with a 16m$ valuation back then.
CMED at 9$, 70m$ in the bank with a 180m$ valuation back then.
and today we have
EMC at 1.60$, 89m$ in the bank with a 160m$ valuation. Go figure. =)
$EMC-
cash in the bank: 89m$
tangible assets: 30m$
non-tangible assets: 10m$
