“Short and distort” is an illegal tactic used by unscrupulous short sellers wherein they short a stock and then spread rumours and innuendo to drive down its price. A bear raid refers to short sellers who connive to push a stock lower through concerted short selling and rumors of negative developments.

Now, when you read through the many comments on this forum remember what you read here. Take to your own searches and look it up and learn all you can about it. It will help you understand how share prices are affected. 

 

Excellent advice. Time is on our side. Day traders and shorts might be in a hurry, but long-term shareholders certainly aren't. We patiently wait it out and use the dips to buy more and average down.
